So this was just recently released but CompTIA is planning changes to the Network+ certfication exam. The actual details about the content differences from the current exam to the new one are not out yet. I will release them as they get to me. However we do know a few things.
Here is what we know:
- Current exam expires on 7/31/09
- New Net+ exam became available 1/9/09
- Raised from 90 questions to 100
- New exam will retire in 2012
And the most notable change we know of so far:
- Passing score raised from 554 to 720 - Thats a big jump!
These changes are overdue, if you ask me. Network+ has remained pretty much the same exact exam since 2005. Too much has changed in networking in that amount of time. They changed A+ over a year ago now, so this was overdue.
